Share the Love 2016

The 2016 Share the Love campaign kicked off on Wednesday, January 27.  The recipients of this year’s campaign are the Hartramph family and the Wheeler family.

The Molalla Theatre Association was well represented by our Molalla High School Thespian Troupe at the Regional Conference held at Clackamas High School.  Our local students earned an amazing amount of accolades for group and individual work, specifically, 20 judge ratings of Excellent and 11 ratings of Superior.  
The following students also earned individual Round Ranking recongnition by the judges:
Diana Xiong- Solo Musical, earned 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place rankings
Diana Sanchez-Solo Musical, earned 3rd, 3rd, and 3rd place rankings
Kaitlyn Baurer-Solo Acting, earned 1st place ranking
Brooke Penni, Solo Musical, earned 2nd , 2nd, 1st, 1st rankings
Brooke Penni's scores were high enough to earn her a Regional Recognition
The MTA's excerpt from the Fall Musical, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown earned one Superior and three Excellent ratings as well as one 2nd place round ranking.  
Clancy Paul and Taylor Hosek received impressive feedback on their technical portfolios and will be taking them to the State Conference.

Class of 2016 Graduation Day is June 11, 2016, 1:00 p.m. at Molalla High School Capasso Court

Molalla High School Forecasting Night  for the 2016-17 school year was on Tuesday, February 9.  Eighth grade forecasting sheets are due to the middle school counselors on or before February 25. High school students turn in their forecasting sheets to their homeroom teacher by February 25.

Power Hour
Power Hour, tutoring in the areas of math, reading, and writing will be offered in the library every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on school days.  Students do not need to sign up to attend.  Parents do need to arrange for transportation home if their child attends Power Hour.  

Molalla High School currently stands in 3rd place out of 16 teams for the 2015-16 Oregonian Cup, just behind Scappoose and Sisters High Schools.

Schools earn points based on their participation and finish in OSAA State Championships and for Top 10 finishes in the OSAA Academic All-State Program, sponsored by the Dairy Farmers of Oregon. A sportsmanship component, whereby schools are awarded points each season for having no ejections, is included as well. The points are updated and released at the end of Fall and Winter seasons and totaled at the end of the year. The school earning the highest points in each classification receives a commemorative trophy from The Oregonian and the OSAA.
