As we move through these early weeks of the school year, we want to remind everyone of the traffic patterns in the MHS parking lot. New this year, the main entrance is entrance only from 7:00am-7:30am (8:00-8:30am on late start Friday). We have three distinct lanes of traffic. All parents dropping students off should use the far right lane and take the right turn to the south of the auditorium. It is important for parents to pull as far forward as possible before dropping off. While this is less convenient, it is crucial to maintain a good traffic flow and not have vehicles backed up. No parents should be entering the front circle to drop students off. The middle lane is for buses and staff only that will be pulling around to the back of the school. The left hand lane is for students parking in the senior parking lot. All vehicles exiting the campus should be using the far east exit nearest to Clark Park. These changes were a student led effort as they saw the safety concerns last year with vehicles driving around the front circle for drop-off. Please also remind your student drivers about the importance of driving slowly and safely in the parking lot. We are communicating this message to students here at school but need your help in reinforcing this message at home. We appreciate your help as we move towards a safer traffic flow in the MHS parking lot.
